Human Interface System
HIS enables applications running on user interface constrained devices to utilize more capable services such as large displays, high fidelity audio, and user inputs.
HIS-SE
Human Interface System - Service Engine
Provides access to the best available human interface resources
How HIS-SE Works
- In a display example, the HIS-SE system "listens" for unrequested data in a standardized format such as XML or HTML.
- When client sends display data, the HIS-SE system interprets and displays it on target device, per target device capabilities.
- The HIS-SE system provides notification of user events specified by client application.
- Similar functionality can be provided for audio services (MP3, ASR, TTS), and Tactile interface, such as buttons, scroll wheels and touch screens.
